The Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal (GSM) is a pioneering trust dedicated to education in technical fields. Late Shri. Anandrao Deshmukh, a freedom fighter of Marathwada region, founded this organization in 1975, solely to promote the technical education. The GSM established various technical institutes at Aurangabad, Bulandshahr (UP), New Delhi and Rotegaon, a village in Aurangabad district. For the upliftment of lifestyle in rural areas, karmayogi Hon. Dr. Y. A. Kawade Sir established MIT Rotegaon in 2006 and Prof. Munish Sharma made quantitative growth of technical education in the rural area. He has shown great concern in establishing well equipped Laboratories, Workshops and Training Centers with the latest machinery and equipments.

MIT Polytechnic Rotegaon is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai. This Institute has 45 competent and promising faculty members and 38 well equipped laboratories. Because of very effective interactions with the industrial sectors and government organizations, MIT is the pioneer in establishing the triangular partnership among institutions industry and Government organizations. Each partner in this triangle is benefited by innovative solutions with technology.

Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal (GSM) Aurangabad, is the parent trust of MIT, established in 1975 in Maharashtra, India, under the Bombay Public Trust Act. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act. Over the last four decades, GSM has established 20 institutes and developed more than 16000 students are receiving quality education on GSM’s various campuses. These range from quality primary schooling to post-graduate courses, as well as targeted vocational trainings. 

MIT has been continuously encouraging its institutes to create a conducive environment for the exchange of knowledge. MIT is a pioneer in this endeavor and has successfully established mutually beneficial triangular partnerships among the academic institutions, industries, and Government organizations. Such a collaborative approach has facilitated trailblazing solutions to industries’ real-time problems and paved the way for research projects.

Since my joining in February 2020, I have faced many challenges for the development of this Institute. The goal and vision are to inculcate human values by character building and development of exemplary personalities through technical education in a dynamic learning environment. An energetic, enthusiastic and multi-dimensional nature with excellent managerial skills is continuously moving towards the accomplishment of all the commitments for outstanding quality of the teaching-learning process with having maintained a degree of discipline among the staff-members and students and to achieve sky-scraping point of superiority in academics.

The institute is evolving towards accomplishment to feel free at the home of serving the nation as an academic as well as administrative.
